Laughing gas is another way to calm patients during surgery. A measured amount of the gas is combined with oxygen which is then breathed through a mask over your nose. We’ll be able to control how much laughing gas you have so that you have a more comfortable experience. Unlike IV sedation, you can drive yourself after using laughing gas as the effects wear off immediately after the mask is removed.
If you are looking to explore your sedation options for an upcoming dental procedure, contact Portway Dentistry to learn more. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
